Student Life
A Place to Belong
Student life at First Christian Academy is rooted in belonging, friendship, and Christ-centered community. Beyond core academics, students grow through electives, service, and a school culture that points them toward faith and purpose.
As Crusaders, students are encouraged to use their gifts, support one another, and live out what they learn—in the classroom, on campus, and in the wider community of DeFuniak Springs.
Faith Culture on Campus
Faith shapes everyday life at FCA. Students experience a school environment where prayer, Scripture, and Christian character are woven into learning and relationships. Chapel and campus faith moments help students grow in worship, fellowship, and a personal walk with Christ—always in language and practices appropriate for elementary and middle school ages.
Electives That Spark Growth
Enriching electives help students discover God-given talents and practical skills. Offerings include STEAM, Career Exploration, Volunteer Opportunities, Computer Skills, Music, Art, Yearbook, Physical Education, and Life Skills.
Arts & Expression
Music, Art, and Yearbook give students creative outlets that celebrate God-given gifts and capture the story of our school year.
Service & Leadership
Volunteer Opportunities cultivate compassion and leadership through real projects that serve school, church, and community.
Skills & Wellness
STEAM, Computer Skills, Career Exploration, PE, and Life Skills build curiosity, healthy habits, teamwork, and everyday competence.
Serving Others
Service is part of how we live our faith. Through volunteer projects and classroom opportunities, students learn that leadership means caring for others and putting compassion into action.
