FFA at First Christian Academy
Growing Leaders, Rooted in Faith
FFA gives First Christian Academy students hands-on ways to explore agriculture, build leadership skills, and serve their community.
Our chapter, First Christian Academy FFA, is open to middle school students in grades 6–8. At FCA, we believe every student is created by God and gifted with purpose, and FFA is one more place where students can discover those gifts through real work, teamwork, and service.
What Is FFA?
FFA is a national youth organization for students interested in agriculture and leadership. The letters stand for Future Farmers of America, but today FFA prepares students for many careers, from farming and forestry to science, business, and teaching. Members grow through hands-on experience, competitions, and service.
“Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.”
FFA’s national mission is to “make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.”

What Our Chapter Does
For 2026–27, FCA’s FFA chapter has a Forestry Team. Upcoming events include the FFA Forestry Competition (October 6), FFA Tool Identification (online, October 15), the FFA Sub-District contests (November 19), and the Nursery and Landscape contest (January, date to be determined).
Our members build leadership and communication skills through public speaking and ceremonies contests, including Extemporaneous Public Speaking, FFA Creed Speaking, Prepared Public Speaking, and Opening and Closing Ceremonies, alongside career development events like Forestry and Nursery and Landscape.
Competitions
Students test their knowledge and skills in FFA events. This year’s events include forestry, tool identification, sub-district speaking and ceremonies contests, and nursery and landscape.
Hands-On Learning
FFA connects what students learn in class to real-world agriculture and career skills.
Service & Leadership
Living to serve is part of the FFA motto and part of how we live our faith at FCA.
